Learning through art as well as academic literature
Research shows that learning through (not about) art is one of the most powerful ways to develop leadership skills. It, for example, fosters empathy, presence, critical thinking, and self-awareness. In other words, experiencing art complements the reading of state-of-the-art leadership and strategy research. As a student, you will enjoy a rich and engaging learning experience.
We integrate films and visit the largest Nordic film festival thanks to our collaboration with Göteborg Film Festival. Hasselblad Foundation awards the world’s most prestigious yearly prize in photography and support us with exhibition visits and artist talks.
We explore leadership in creative organizations, classical music and performing art with the Gothenburg Symphony (Sweden’s national orchestra) and the Göteborg Opera. Göteborg Konst guide us through the public art in the city.
We discuss how location shapes strategy in relation to our exhibition visits at Gothenburg Museum of Art and Röda Sten Konsthall.
Geopolitical development and history repeating itself are today on top of leaders’ agenda.
Visits to our Museum Partners such as the Museum of Gothenburg and the Museum of World Culture allow for experiential learning about these topics.
The First “Sustainability Focused” Master Programme
We are the only Master programme at the School of Business, Economics and Law that has qualified for university’s most rigorous “Sustainability Focused” label.
No courses in sustainability! Instead, integrated in everything we do including our work with Corporate Partners.

Personal leadership development is at the core of our program. Who you are at the end of the program is as important as what you know. We call this “reflexive leadership”.
You will benefit from our collaboration with Icebug on Inner Development Goals working with leadership skills such as integrity, creativity and courage.
Our program blends academic knowledge with practical experience through corporate partnerships, leadership development, and sustainability. Students work on sustainability challenges and develop their leadership skills through interactive workshops and inspiring collaborations.
